Solar Set

Citizen has made some very excellent watches with their Eco-Drive series for years. But they have not made very many unisex pieces that have been worth the effort. Last year, they had made a nice limited edition piece for the U.S. Open which was exclusive from Macy's with only 2,000 pieces made. This years model handles well with the same U.S. style face on the piece, excellent illumination on the hands and the accents of the watch. It is very easy to read and set the time. The gripe though I have on the 2013 model is that the nylon strap can easily wear and tear after a bit of time. Still, it does handle well with movement and time. It is also a great beginners piece for anyone that hans't bought a Eco-Drive watch before. I like this one and I definitely recommend this one.

This is a limited edition normally availakle on on-site at the US Open. But for 2013 this changed and noiw can be bought at Macy's and Amazon. This went for $150 on site but if you used an Am Ex card you goit a $50 Ralph Lauren gift certificate. That said, the Amazon price is about the lowest by far outside Ebay.
Quality and fit typical quality found in Citizen watches. Fairly large dial but light weight. Fine for a man a little larger for a gal but not too large. Citizen says watch is waterresistant but oinly if you are caught in the rain or a brief dunk in a swimming pool. Strap is clkoth but not cheap.
For a tennis fan watch is to your liking...non tennis fan may be a bit gaudy..Do note that the US Open logo is on face but no sopecific year appears..Important if you are a collector of memorabilia.
